The Mack Family Story

Hello friends of Concordia High School.  My name is Nathan Mack and I would like to share my family’s story with you. For years, my wife and I talked about sending our kids to a Christian school. However, for a variety of reasons we came to the conclusion that it would not be possible. We moved to the area last year and enrolled our children in the local public schools.

Our daughter spent much of her time in school frustrated. She was often in tears trying to complete assignments and studying for tests. She found it hard to make friends, observed student bullying incidents, and had difficulty connecting with some of her teachers.

At the end of the summer our daughter told us she dreaded going back to school because she couldn’t handle the environment anymore. The next day we found Concordia High School (CHS) where the difference was immediately apparent.  From the initial interview with the staff, we wanted our kids to attend CHS. The staff freely answered all our questions, and we were encouraged by everything we heard.

We decided this was the place for our kids. With tuition assistance from the CHS Annual Fund we could budget the tuition expense. From day one our daughter loved the school. She immediately found friends and connected with teachers who provided her extra assistance. She has been transformed at CHS and is completing her work and bringing her grades up significantly. Her attitude is different around home, as well. She is happier, asks for help when she needs it, and it is no longer a fight to get her to finish her work and hand it in on time.

Two weeks into the school year we also switched our son to CHS. We could not be happier because our kids are thriving in their new environment and enjoy going to school.

We have had to make some significant adjustments financially to attend the school, but it is worth it. We deeply appreciate the tuition assistance we receive from the CHS Annual Fund and know that it comes from friends and donors like you.

We know that our kids will graduate from a top notch school and will have the ability to attend college and succeed with what they have been taught at CHS. We tell everyone about the school and encourage them to look into sending their children to CHS. We are excited and determined to send our youngest in the future so that all of our kids have the opportunity to graduate from CHS.

We are just one of the sixty-four families blessed with tuition assistance this year. You make it possible for us to be a part of the CHS family and we are extremely grateful for your support.  Please consider helping change additional lives with your gift to The Annual Fund.

Thank you for welcoming us to the CHS family.  It truly is a high school where you have faith in education.

 Sincerely,

The Mack Family
