Is CHS a college preparatory school? 

Yes, 98% of our graduates attend college. 

 

Where do your students attend college?

Our alumni attend a variety of colleges and universities.  Please check our school profile with a full list of where our students have been accepted. 

 

Are you accredited?

CHS is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) and Texas District Lutheran School Accreditation Commission which is authorized through the Texas Education Association. 

 

Is CHS a Christian School? 

Yes. CHS is affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This Biblically based denomination supports Christian education from preschool through college. To find out more about the teachings and beliefs of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, visit the website at www.lcms.org

 

Do you have students of other faiths?

Yes, we are a Christian campus.  We have students from all walks of faith. 

 

Do I have to take religion classes?

Faith development courses are required each year. Freshman and sophomores take Old Testament and New Testament. Juniors and seniors take World Religions and Christian Leadership. Faith development courses help all students grow in their knowledge of scripture and application of God's word. 

 

Do you have uniforms?

Yes, we work with Parker School Uniforms to supply our uniform needs. They have a storefront location at 7756 Northcross Dr, Suite 111, Austin TX 78757

 

Do you offer tuition assistance?

Yes, we have an aggressive financial aid program.  We see Concordia as a mission to try and provide for as many students as possible.  

 

What are the school hours?

8:25 am to 3:35 pm. 

 

Do you offer before or after school care?

Yes, students are monitored, by a teacher, before school starting at 7:00 am and after school until 5:00 pm. Currently, we do not charge for this service. 

 

How many students attend CHS?

Currently, we have 140 students that attend CHS in grades 9 through 12. 

 

How old is the high school?

The high school opened in 2002. 

 

Do you have a bus or transportation system?

We have 2 buses in operation for our athletic teams and field trips.  We also run a bus route in the morning and afternoon between CHS, Redeemer and St. Paul and one in Georgetown.  Contact Traci Dube for more information:  traci.dube@chsaustin.org

  

Is the ISEE test mandatory?

Yes, we require this placement test for all incoming 9th grade students. 

 

What foreign language classes do you offer?

We offer Spanish (levels 1-4).
