Is CHS a college preparatory school?

Yes, 98% of our graduates attend college.

Are you accredited?

CHS is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) and Texas District Lutheran School Accreditation Commission which is authorized through the Texas Education Association.

Is CHS a Christian School?

Yes. CHS is affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This Biblically based denomination supports Christian education from preschool through college. To find out more about the teachings and beliefs of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, visit the website at www.lcms.org.

Do you have students of other faiths?

Yes, we are a Christian campus. We have students from all walks of faith.

Do I have to take religion classes?

Faith development courses are required each year. Freshman take Exploring Christian Faith, Sophomores take The Bible, Juniors take World Religions and and seniors take Senior Theology. Faith development courses help all students grow in their knowledge of scripture and application of God's word.

Do you have uniforms?

Yes, we require students to wear uniform polo shirts with dress pants, shorts or skirts. See “Spirit Wear” at the bottom of the main web page for links to our uniform providers.

Do you offer tuition assistance?

Yes, we offer financial aid. We use FACTS to calculate aid to determine the amount that each family can afford to pay. While each family might pay a different amount, they each share in the same level of commitment to private Christian education based upon their current financial situation. We see Concordia High School as a mission to touch as many lives as possible..

What are the school hours?

8:10 am to 3:00 pm

Do you offer before or after school care?

Yes, students are monitored, by a teacher, before school starting at 7:30 am and after school until 3:30 pm. Currently, we do not charge for this service.

How many students attend CHS?

Currently, we have 140 students that attend CHS in grades 9 through 12.

How old is the high school?

The high school opened in 2002.

Do you have a bus or transportation system?

We have 2 buses in operation for our athletic teams and field trips and 2 buses dedicated for daily bus routes before and after school. The Central route runs between CHS and Redeemer Lutheran School at 1500 W. Anderson Ln. in Austin. The north route runs between CHS and Starbucks at Wolf Ranch Town Center in Georgetown and Zion Lutheran School. Contact Traci Dube for more information: traci.dube@chsaustin.org

We offer Spanish (levels 1-3).
