Mrs. Fitzgerald

Lisa Fitzgerald has been teaching for 15 years at the high school and collegiate level, with over ten years at Concordia High School.

Lisa currently teaches Dual Credit Communication, Dual Credit Public Speaking, Art, World Geography, and World History, and one day hopes to write a book.

She was the recipient of the TAPPS 2019 Wolfe Fine Arts Leadership Award.

Lisa is wonderfully observant, as evidenced by her description of her favorite time of the day, “Anywhere on the globe, I have been, 8 p.m. is my favorite time to be outside. In a city, the pace starts to slow down, and the buildings light up. In the summer the late, slanting sunrays throw gentle coral lights from the shiny steel. In the country or by the sea, the fresh air hangs on a wing, and the katydids sing.”

She has also been known to binge-watch "Family Matters" and "The A-Team"; I pity the fool who doesn’t know THAT show.

Here are some other fun facts about Lisa:

•             The person she would most like to meet is the Elephant Man

•             Her favorite color is bright, cheerful, royal blue; it uplifts her

•             She collects trees, that she plants in the ground

•             Her family is looking forward to touching the ocean from Spain

•             In college she and her friends started a bobsled team
