Mrs. Artha Weaver-Gallegos M.M.

Artha Weaver-Gallegos is an educator, vocalist, and worship leader with a heart for leading others in the joy of making music and worshipping God. With a BA in Vocal Performance and Music Ministry from Concordia University Texas and an MM in Conducting from the University of Texas at El Paso, Artha believes in the importance of music education for all students and the power that music has to change lives and shape students into more well-rounded people.

As the Band Director and Choir Director at CHS, she has continued the legacy of excellence built by the directors before her, led numerous successful concerts, taken many students to competition year after year bringing home countless awards for solos and ensembles, and in 2024 led the choir program to their first Vocal State Championship since 2008. As the Campus Director of Worship Music, she believes the students are the best leaders of their peers in worshipping God in our weekly chapel services, this helps create leaders both within the school and in the community as they go out to lead worship at other schools and churches.

Concordia High School has been such a blessing in her life and she loves working with the talented, hardworking students we have at CHS and watching them grow as musicians and as young adults. As educators we get a short amount of time with our students but it is an honor to work with them while we have them and get to watch them continue their musical and educational journeys after graduation.

Artha is also the Worship Director at Mission Liberty Hill Lutheran Church as well as a private voice teacher. She recently got married to her husband Jonathan, they live in Leander together with their dog Taffy, their cat Marshmallow, and their two guinea pigs Johann and Wolfgang
